My AOR November no update yetHello everyone, and Happy New Year!
I am trying to summarize the main patterns I have observed in this thread (please correct me if you see different trends):
- For applicants stuck in SS, the average processing time appears to be around 26–28 months.
- We have seen many applicants with September/October 2023 AORs complete the SS stage.
- Looking ahead to January–February 2026, we may expect some movement for November 2023 AOR applications.
- It seems that the vast majority of 2023 applicants—with the exception of November and December 2023—have already been finalized.
Any thoughts or additional insights?
There are still many May - August AORs that haven't been finalized yet, but hopefully should be done soon.Hello everyone, and Happy New Year!

Yes, my sister Sept 2023 AOR got her oath invitation recently. Mine is Nov 2023 and hope to get by Feb
This largely seems to be conjecture around the idea that there's a 'hump' around 24-30 months. I don't see any obvious reason to believe that. Best I can tell is that after about 18 months, the rate of new completions drops to something like a steady-state level (just because there aren't that many left) and a steady number keep getting finalized. The rest seems to be artefacts of social media (how people ask questions here and tend to 'group' as they stop using month-by-month threads).Hello everyone, and Happy New Year!

My PR expires in June. I was just checking how I can renew it. it say in IRCC website if your PR expires in less than 9 month you can apply for renewal.hey guys, need some advice on PR renewal. My citizenship application AOR was in Dec 2023 and file is still stuck in SS, no movement since April 2025 and my PR card expires in July 2026. So I was just wondering how long should I actually wait to apply for PR renewal? Can someone who has gone through similar situation please suggest? Thanks!
There is one more observation which I saw on a thread on FB, they said applicants who visited KSA in last 5 years (when application was filed) due to whatever reason, are also held as non-routine applications. I am not sure how true this is.
Yeah for sure the system is Opaque. Wish they gave a reason as yo why an application was or is considered as a non-routine application.North Africans go to KSA in droves for the muslim pilgrimage, and they're significantly less affected by non-routine application than people from the Middle East, which would tell me that going to Saudi Arabia in itself doesn't mean much, SS wise. Everyone is trying to conjecture why applications end up in SS hell, but the truth is that it's not really possible to say, the system is too opaque for us to know.
It's always better to have it renewed not waiting for the Citizenship Application completion in case you travel a lot outside the country. My PR expires in June. I was just checking how I can renew it. it say in IRCC website if your PR expires in less than 9 month you can apply for renewal.
