Hi everyone,
I received an email to re-submit EIMM5669 (Schedule A – Background/Declaration) form. I am looking to clarify few things.


In the section, Personal detail of parents, it is asking for the country of birth of the principal applicant’s parents, both parents were born before 1947, which was British India. However, it is not available in the dropdown list on the electronic form. I have entered British India while completing IMM5669 digital on the PR portal. Since the form must be validated before printing and signing, this field cannot be left blank because it has been marked with an asterisk (*).

Could anyone please advise what should be selected in this case? And should I add an explanation in a separate note or letter? Both parents are deceased and lived/died in Pakistan

for those that have received a letter saying that the application was received and to submit police certificates - were you able to link the application in IRCC secure account?

Just curious — did you notice any difference between the temporary file number mentioned in your Additional Document Request PDF and the file number shown in the acknowledgment you received after submitting the documents?
Was the prefix changed from “XF” to “F” while the rest of the number remained the same, or did you receive a completely new file number starting with “F” ?

file number remained same(without X)... File number didn't have X when i got the AOR; everything else was the same for file number

How to you link the application, mine just says submitted. And download file option
t the top, enter the application number without the prefix ‘X’.
Under Applicant Details, enter the Principal Applicant’s UCI number (if available — you can find it on their visitor visa and search with passport details).
Set the number of applicants to ‘3’, and if you are adding your spouse as a co-signer, try setting it to ‘4’.

Did they specifically ask for a marriage certificate? If you didn’t have one, did you just provide their Aadhaar card and voter ID instead?

I’ve also received an email requesting additional information — they’re asking for a Marriage Certificate or a Statutory Declaration of Common-Law Union. My parents don’t have their marriage certificate since it’s been nearly 50 years and they’ve lost it.
Any information or advice on how you handled this would be really helpful.

Sorry for the delay - my parents had a marriage certificate that was in English but not in the best condition. I provided voterID, Aadhar and a letter of explanation as others have suggested.
