Hello Team,

I have a question regarding my mother’s Super Visa expiry. Her current Super Visa is set to expire in January 2026. She arrived in Canada in October 2025 under this Super Visa, and her passport is valid for the next eight years.

While she is in Canada, can I apply for a new Visitor Visa instead of Super Visa for her so she can remain in the country for a few additional months? Please advise on the best way to handle this situation and the correct process for applying for a new Visitor Visa.

Your guidance and prompt response would be greatly appreciated.

If you want her to remain in the country for additional months, apply for a visitor record or extend her stay. Visitor visa is generally for entering the country.
