Bank statements necessary for proof of funds ?

My sister is applying for visitor visa and she had uploaded her paystubs for proof of funds. Has the process changed now or do we still have to show our bank statement for sufficient funds.

No bank statements are needed from the host.

Proof of funds are her bank statements not paystubs. She needs to show she has cash in the bank and can afford to visit Canada. $10k cash for a two week visit is a minimum amount.
