Guys, I just noticed a kind of acceleration in the process for applicants from early 2024 and late 2023 ! Many of them received their AlP over the past month, based on what I've seen in the Facebook group. I don't understand the reason... (Well, you never fully understand IRCC anyway.)

How many is many? Are you sure they are genuine applicants?

People share their timelines the way they do here. I don’t have access to their files or their profiles because they’re anonymous it’s the same thing that happens here, or that used to happen here before.
I should mention that the group has around 3,000 people, but the vast majority are far from collaborative and almost never participate. Basically, it’s just like this forum !

What is many though? Could mean 3 people but also could mean 100.

That is why applications sent or will be send after 2024 will take More than 10 years
It will take 2 to 3 years on average for eligibility decisions (AIP or refusal) based on recent trend reported by applicants in the facebook group. For PR, it is different story.

I am talking about H&C applications submitted in 2025.
Not in 2023 and 2024.

Most from 2023/early 2024 are waiting at least 3 yrs these days for approval/refusal of AIP. There are some faster results for some refusals and some very rare approvals. How long processing will take for AIP has more to do with IRCCs longterm plans for general H&C. IRCC likely wants to limit how many applicants get to AIP stage if their plan is to cull the program. Tough to say what will happen to applicants with an AIP if H&C backlog is wiped out and IRCC essentially starts from scratch with general H&C. This government appears to have assumed that bill C-2 or c-12 would have bill passed faster than it has.

Many applicants have received AIP in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
and all of them are waiting for stage 2.
