Hi Folks,

I requested to reschedule oath due to outside of canada and received following email:

I told them returning on Feb 2026 and outside country. What should I interpret this email? Will they reschedule after feb 2026? Or any next available slot and it will be final and I have to joint it.

Response received:

Please note that if you are unable to attend your ceremony we will reschedule you for a future date, as a Final Notice.  It is therefore very important that you contact IRCC prior to any known unavailable period with a reasonable explanation to avoid missing a scheduled event or face abandonment of your file for not attending your final invitation.

My status was same and I was called up for interview, but they only passed my language and physical presence.

when did you apply no updates since march for me, same stuff is pending. Is it even normal? mine says grant request pending

Hi everyone. Just wondering a couple of things:
1. Is anyone stuck on BG completed and NO other update since early 2025?
2. How does one go about contacting the MP's office about an application? Do I just write to them with all the details and ask they "look into it"?
3. Anyone with processing office in Sydney?

Thank you!

1. Yes. Stuck in BG complete since Feb 2025. Last GU was March 8th 2025. Nothing since.
2. Reaching out to the MP in my experience is beneficial, but my recommendation would be to be pin-pointed with one/ two questions. What would you like them to look into. For eg. in my case, I asked them as to why my file was still reflecting Security as pending when it was actually cleared by CBSA in Feb 2025? Has a case officer been appointed on my file? Is my file in active review now or is it still in queue? In my experience, until you ask the pin-pointed questions, you will not receive any answers that you won't find within your notes.
3. My file was initially with Scarborough, but was moved to Vancouver in Feb 2025.

Was the MP's office able to get any useful info on these specific questions?

Yes, they gave me peace of mind, by saying that file was actively assigned and that there was a due date by which they would need to action on the file. Looking back, the due date has long passed, but at the time, they did end up getting slightly more information, eg. Notes reflect Language was not passed, but they said mine has been passed, similarly for Security, and Prohibitions.

Thank you. This is useful. I have an great MP so I'm hopeful he will have a favourable response.

That's odd. Why don't the notes reflect what has actually been passed? That is ridiculous. We can't even trust the notes lol
