Received OATH Invitation few minutes ago. OATH scheduled for 9th December. Unfortunately, I will not be able to take OATH on that date as I am travelling out of country for 6 weeks on 13th December which I cannot make changes to. Sent an email to IRCC to change my OATH date.
Hi, I'm in a similar boat with the same oath date. Did you have to explain your circumstances? If yes, how long/detailed?
Also, why can't you take oath on the 9th if travelling on the 13th? I plan to depart on the 6th.

I just told them that I am travelling out of country on 13th December and this trip is planned well in advance back in June 2025. Also, attached my Itenary so that they have visibility/proof. Even checked date change options for my flight. I had to pay extra $1000 fare difference plus date change charges. Just explain as much as you can.

I checked with my friends. They always suggest you to wait 48 hours before applying for passport (this is what my friends told me). I will have only one day and I need to apply e-visa to India. This is all too much tight deadlines and is stressful. I can still travle with India passport but there is no way for me to get back into Canada.

Do let know of their response please.

I received the in-person ceremony invitation by email today. The ceremony is scheduled for November 28. I can’t log in to the tracker, so I’m not sure if there are any updates there.
Great. I too got in-person ceremony invitation by email today.

Looks like the Montreal office just woke up from hibernation.

Great! Many congratulations !!
The process went quite smoothly for me. Application in May, AOR in June, background check in July, test in September, LPP in October, and ceremony in November. All wrapped up in just six months. Not bad, considering I spent years & years going through PR process.
