Processing times, how accurate and did I screw myself over?

You are taking science and it is not a top school for engineering in Canada. So not sure what engineering has to do with your intended program.

I initially said I was majoring in the Bachelor of Science program, because I applied for my student visa using that department's LOA. Mentioning engineering in any of the previous contexts would've been utterly pointless. I've already transferred internally to engineering.

I never said it was a "top school for engineering", it most certainly is good tho. Price and immigration played a significant role when it came to choosing my school and major, as stated in a previous reply.

It is a bottom tier school for engineering, It ranks in the bottom 5 for engineering in Canada. But you did the research. Good luck and hopefully you get a response soon.

This is all in good faith, but you are a bit quick to judge. I never specified which discipline I'm choosing after my first year, but It's ocean and naval architectural engineering. This is important because MUN not only ranks as the best university in canada for that specific discipline, but also one of the best globally (top 30-40, I believe. Don't quote me).

Not quick to judge...all of my husband's family is from Newfoundland. Left and never moved back permanently but always back to see some family. I know the island, its climate, its people and economy. All the best. Since you want to take the program you would have included in your SOP the reason why and how it will give you opportunities when you return home.
