Can IRCC reject a dépendant after P1? My mom got her P2& ECOPR but I didn’t receive any updates after P1..

If a dependent is ineligible, they have to inform the sponsor right, they can’t just brush it over after P1?

We are in the same boat. We raised a web form informing our department is in India and they sent a PPR request for processing the dependent’s file. Maybe you can do tthe same and ask for an update on the status

Yes, several years of conscript almost 60 years ago in China. Only one job as electrician until retirement. Not a member of communist party and no travel history.

I searched online, several years of conscript in other countries, security screening is around one year. But for parents from China, security screening is way too long

omg, hopefully your parents get PPR very soon! My parents worked in a railway factory under government before.

PPR request for dependent was submitted and received by ircc on 29th July 2025, it’s been over 15 working days now and bo updates. How long does it for final decision and return of the passport? Delhi jrcc for plr submission

Does someone know what kind of additional document they asked for? I know it could be diiferent for each applicant, but could you please share what type of documents they were? Were they birth certificates etc?

I am still waiting got my medical and pcc last year april 2024. Now the processing time is reduced to 26 months and my file is now 33 months shall i contact my MP. If someone could suggest shall i contact my local MP or my representative local MP.

Congratulations!!! I'm so happy for you. Finally getting a security clearance after 22 months is no small feat. I'm still waiting, and it's been 18 months. Mainly you don't know where you're stuck. You know your background is spotless—no military or government connections. If you're just being held up because of a large number of applicants, then fine, I can wait. But when you check your documents, you keep seeing "We're processing your background check..." It's really frustrating. Did you apply for ATIP? Thank you

I did whatever I can think to expedite this process, such as order CBSA notes every month, contact MP, write webforms and call IRCC so many times.

guys, I am facing a situation I am wondering if you guys can help. My mom landed in September, I got called IRCC yesterday to ask about the status of her card. I was told that the photo was rejected and an email was sent. We never got any email, I asked for the email to be resent. I was told that another email will come but she said there is no timeline. Now I got her to take new photo but I haven't received any email.. did anyone face the same situation? Can I submit the photo from webform? Or does it need to be mailed to them? I want to be proactive and the photo now

You only contacted them yesterday. Your mother likely reentered the queue for PR card landing emails.

No change based on the latest one on Sep 2025
