Thank you for your sharing, I submitted our pr at march 2023, and my dependent file transferd to Ankara at march 2024, i got my ECOPR on October 2025, but never received any things from Ankara VO. Also all the webform just response whith automatic, I don’t know is it normal,!!

there is pilot program called Centralized Concurrent Processing Pilot or Centralized Concurrent Processing Pilot or DR2 Pilot Program.
to be eligible, family members must live in a country that is handled by one of the migration offices involved in the pilot: Bogota, Buenos Aires, Kingston (Jamaica), Lima, London, Nairobi, Mexico City, Port of Spain, or Sao Paulo.

I’ve been exploring similar options as my family is currently outside Canada, and the Centralized Concurrent Processing Pilot program seems like it could streamline the process. I’ll be visiting my relatives in Argentina soon, and this might be relevant for others in similar situations. For regular processing IRCC only starts processing overseas dependents files AFTER the principal applicant becomes a PR. Your dependents access to PR is based on your PR status, so until you are a PR your dependents file is not processed.

I am a protected person in Toronto and my partner lives in India (never been to Canada), she was on my application from day 1 as my common-law partner.

Here is my timeline:

Feb 2022 - Submitted PR application for both of us

Jan 2024 - PR granted to me

Feb 2024 - Confirmation my partners PR was sent to the local office (New Delhi)

Sep 2024 - Additional documents requested for my partner

Sep 2025 - Biometrics (partner)

I did not get any confirmation. When I applied for the GCMS notes through ATIP I saw a note that said the file was sent to the delhi office

Officially, IRCC counts processing time from the day a complete application is received . However, in practice dependent files are often held back until the principal’s file is finalized and/or until the visa office (eg. Accra) has capacity, your statements are accurate in different ways. Let me ask you a question are you a 2019 or 2020 applicant?? If you are then your statement is valid, we know a persons file can exceed processing time when they’ve got a complex application but y’all are making it seem like the 50 months start when the principal applicant gets pr. IRCC has no business with your file until the principal applicant is a permanent resident!! That does not mean the 50 months wait starts at that time the principal applicant got pr after waiting 26 to 31 months. y’all are literally saying application for this stream takes at least 8 to 10 years!!!! Let’s be real and forget negativity.

I applied for refugee status in 2019, approved in 2022, pr app sent/aor in 2022, i got pr in 2024. my partner will likely get pr in 2026/2027.

2022 until 2026/2027 is not 8-10yrs, it is 50 months or so.

We submitted march 2023 , my dependent file transfered to Ankara march 2024 when I got my eligibility and pre-arrival at same day, then silent noting happened, I just received my eCoPR at October 2nd, and never here back from Ankara!

I was suppose to hear back from Ankara but weirdly, Mississauga office sent a additional document list for my spouse on may 2025. We submitted them and radio silence after that. Hi, I received my eligibility approval letter, and it states that the overseas visa office in Islamabad will be responsible for processing my dependents’ applications. That seems unusual because most Pakistani dependents’ applications are usually handled by the London office.
Is anyone else in the same situation?

Today my overseas dependent received the list of documents and it says if you have already submitted the documents ignore this email!! So we already submitted all documents when i applied for PR ar march 2023!! Do we need resnd them? Any one has same situation?
