Please how can I find a suitable apartment for myself in Vancouver.. I’m resuming in two months time

Buy or rent? Does it have to be in the city of Vancouver? What's your preference? Do you drive? Do you want to be near skytrain station or bus route? How big are you looking for? Do you want to be near grocery or shopping malls? Do you want to be in the downtown area or near UBC?
I don’t want something expensive at all .. i am only a student who merely just got approved for study permit last week and expected to be in school by december i.e few weeks before my start date(jan5) a shared apartment for a reasonable amount is what I’m looking for downtown or broadway or even burnaby cos I heard houses in burnaby are cheaper than Vancouver and it’s just few kilometers nearby… my budget is $500-$600 CAD for a month, thanks for your reply
I also don’t mind if it’s an affordable hotel room you can suggest for me that’s very close to yvr ( Vancouver international airport)
Look for shared accommodations. See your post secondary institutions' housing advertisements. Maybe someone want to sublet their spare rooms.
