How to order this entry and exit traveler report from CBSA? What reason did you give for requesting an ATIP?
I'm a daily commuter to USA looking to apply for citizenship. I maintained a meticulous log of travel in an excel sheet. I ordered an entry and exit Traveler report from CBSA (ATIP request) and saw a few entry records missing and a few duplicate records. Did anyone else apply with the similar discrepancy in their CBSA report apply and got approved? Were you ask for additional proof/documents/interview. Should I explain it while applying in the form of LOE?

Thanks in Advance.

About to do exactly this to maintain both PR and H-1B, thanks for all the insight guys!

Do we have a Whatsapp group that I can join?
Thanks.

Hi everyone, I am planning to do the same. Drive to work in the US with H1B and live in Canada (PR) to apply for citizenship. I found this article https://www.cicnews.com/2022/02/cal...ve-in-canada-but-work-in-the-u-s-0222233.html
which shows that as long as I come back everyday (e.g., in Canada even for one minute per day), I will be considered as in Canada for that day. Technically, I will be in Canada everyday. This article is from 2022. Has anything changed since then?

same question. It seems that reentry is not allowed even if the visa stamp is valid
I would go to reddit. There are extensive discussions there. Based on the info there, you should expect to be denied entry. The advice is to make sure you re-enter the US before 11pm tonight.

This seems to apply only for the new applicants starting Feb 2026. All the existing Visa holders and extensions are not affected by this which came as a breather. The info shared whole night was misinformation by other media as shared by few Immigration Attorneys

Agreed. Looks like they just clarified the rules.

Yes, indeed. Why am I not surprised that the information shared on that website was inaccurate? Oh right, https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2023/dec/30/reddit-moderator-protest-communities-social-media

Although this doesn't affect me, I'm glad to hear that what came out was at least something semi-sane.

The problem was the original announcement by the US government. It wasn't a reddit issue at all. It was a US government incompetence issue. The info being posted on Reddit was from legal teams of large companies (like microsoft) who were advising h1b holders what to do and what not to do based on the specific wording in government announcement. Because the announcement was written by clowns, it caused chaos. The US government provided clarification about a day later.

Alas, that sounds about right for the current admin down there. Especially the late Friday announcement and Saturday cleanup...

This makes sense. I'm assuming that the legal teams were advising the affected staff, who then turned around and posted this anonymously on the website. (As I can't quite see large companies paying for their legal teams to give free advice on spez's site.) Which means this needs advice would need to be taken with extra care, as it's always possible there's some company specific situation implied in the advice that wouldn't apply to the general population at large.

Well, perhaps so, but it's worth noting that no bad advice related to the Friday night announcement is to be found on other forums that cater to immigration (e.g. forums.immigration.com or visajourney.com or immihelp.com/forum/ ) so I wouldn't be quite willing to say that the website in question is problem free yet. Rather, this continues to fit my personal observations of dedicated forums (this one included) generally being better in terms of quality.

That's not to say that it's totally impossible to find useful info on the other website, but in general it's harder to sort out truth from rumors over there.
