Hello everyone does anyone have any idea about what does this status hold means?
CBSA notes in sub activities
Security type: VIT 34
Status: hold

FYI I am a study permit applicant since June 2023 and still waiting and as per CSIS notes the security case is completed and they have already provided advice to the IRCC/CBSA back in April 2025. Please anyone can help if I will be able to go for Fall because this may be my last chance to start my degree. Only God knows what I am going and been through due to this limbo. Please anyone can help. I will be very thankful.

Your CBSA notes are different from ours. Cannot comment on this.

I also ordered CSIS notes since Dec 2024 but never receive it. Could you please provide when you ordered CSIS notes and when you received it? Thanks in advance!

I totally understand your feeling because we wait for it for a long time and still waiting. Whatever the result is, God always opens another door for us when he closes one door.

My medical expired in August and they renewed it today. I got this message today: Review of medical results - September 11, 2025:You passed the medical exam.

Is this just an automated thing? or should i be optimistic?

As long as you’re inland, expired medical will be renewed during security. I had mine renewed in January, and am still waiting for my security.

I received my GCMS notes recently and noticed something odd about the security screening timeline for my CEC Inland PR application.

• AOR: September 4, 2024
• Medical Passed: Already extended to 2026
• Background: Updated to “In Progress” in March 2025
• Security Screening:
  • Status: Received by CBSA (as of March 4, 2025)
  • Due Date: April 3, 2025
  • No further updates since then

What’s strange is that my spouse (included in the same application as a dependant) has the exact same screening type (A34 - Comprehensive) and was also sent to CBSA on March 4 - but her file was marked “In Progress by CBSA” on March 27, 2025.

Mine hasn’t moved at all.

• Is this normal, or does it look like my security file is stuck?
• Has anyone seen a case where one applicant’s security started and the other’s didn’t for this long?

Mine is also Received by CBSA but from Nov 28. 2023 I wish you better outcome from mine.
Im still waiting almost two year on SS and thinking to take a lawyer and go to court.

Whats stopping you from filing mandamus? Im going to file one as soon as it hits 18 months

Simple $$$, since I dont have PR company where I work did reject for the raise and they are planning to expanding the team and they will offer them 20k-30k more money from what I'm earning,

Ill probably have to order the CBSA notes and figure out whats taking them so long

Yes its very stressful, I did order couple of time those notes and always I could see that I'm in process.
Last Friday I send question thru web form and in the same day I did get answer that I'm in process

"We are working on processing applications as quickly as possible.
Rest assured that you will be informed as soon as a decision is reached or if additional information is needed."

And I did get full gcms notes with no changes.
My MP is useless they cant do anything I dont know why even that option exit when he cant help.

Current ss times is about 24 months. If you applied before July 2023, chances are you’ll get processed within a month or two.

Yes I did apply on Feb 28, 2023 my AOR is Apr 04, 2023 as you can read from my signature
