Filling out citizenship application form (online). There are questions like

List all addresses inside and outside of Canada during your entire 5-year eligibility period

Enter details of all your employment and education history in the past 5 years (your eligibility period)

In our response, when we enter specifics of the starting date " from ....." "to ....", should we enter the starting date of our eligibility period or the actual date of moving in a house or taking up a job? i was thinking that if we start it from the start of eligibility date, the response will be actually wrong because we moved in or started the work before that day.
So if my 5 year eligibility period started on 20 sept 2020, and i moved in my house in 2019, should i still enter 20 sept 2020 as my residence period in that address (even though i have been living there since before)? Thanks

If you can, be truthful and state when it really started (e.g. in 2019).

If the form won't let you write or submit the earlier truthful date, set it to 20 sept 2020 and add a letter of explanation with the truth start dates and explain that the online app wouldn't let you give the actual start dates, and you should be good.

That works too, but if I had been able to reply in time I would have suggested uploading an LOE as an extra supporting doc near the end of the online app prior to submitting. A bit less hassle (and less worry that they'd have to match up the webform with the app).

I gave the actual date and not from the period they asked
