Hi,
I want to apply for my mother’s supervisa and need some help in the application.

My question is that, me and my sister are in Canada and we both live separately, now i am stable enough to apply for my mother’s supervisa but my sister is not as she is still studying and about to gradue later this year.
I want to add the graduation reason in the invitation letter that i want to invite my mother on my sister’s graduation ceremony,.
1: Will there be any issue that why i am applying and my sister is not?
2: if i apply then do i have to attach my sisterms docs as well( like PR card and any letter written by my sister that she authoriza me to put her graduation ceremony on my invitation letter.

Kindly please advise.

Thank you

1. If applying for supervisa, you meet LICO and she passed medical and gets a year of insurance. A graduation to come is not really a reason if planning to stay years.
2. Graduation is not really a reason to come on a supervisa.

Ok then what reason should i give in order to invite my mother on supervisa?
So i dont have to include any docs of my sister?
In addition, i also applied for her visitor visa which got rejected.

Why was her TRV rejected as she must address those reasons. Graduation is one day while with a supervisa she can stay for years. Why do you want her to come and stay for years? You can include your sister's graduation invitation.

I dont want her to come and stay for years because she have some property in back home
Her TTV was rejected because she dont have enough funds that time and failed to demonstrate the strong ties
And i want to apply for supervisa because of high acceptance rate as per some consultants and lawyers

But the whole purpose of applying for a supervisa is to stay for more than 6 months. Strong ties to return are job with approved leave, her income property so show her leases with tenants, business etc. She still needs to address this reason in a supervisa.

You show your NOA for 2024 meeting LICO. Since you have consulted with consultants and lawyers then you will have to figure out a reason for her to come and stay for more than 6 months.

Disagree. Many use a supervisa to visit for less than 6 months often because normal TRV has been refused. I would select visit of over 6 months and attach an explanation letter about how the mother only plans to come for short visits because she has ties to her home country that do not allow her to visit for long periods of time in Canada. This may actually be a good thing in terms of concerns that she won’t return home.

My $0.02, having recently gone through this successfully.

Donthe medical upfront. If there are findings, either get a specialist assessment of them and a treatment plan in advance (FIL has a very minor heart issue, so the specialist provided a treatment plan and medication). Also no point in applying if there is something significant that will result in a medical refusal.

Get the supervisa insurance.

Fill the application. Yes, you can include your sisters graduation as part of the reason for travel, but make sure you have a list of other things (visiting local festivals, Christmas, historical sites, national parks, etc) that occur during the planned visit. Keep it simple...no flowery explanations about heart felt reunions etc.

Make sure the planned visit is for more than 6 months, even if she's only coming for a couple of weeks (we used 9 months even though they only came for 4). Once she has the SV, duration doesn't matter.

Make sure you meet LICO and complete the calculation they ask for. If you miss this, it's instant rejection. Use the checklist to make sure you've got everything. Include her property documents, employment letters (if applicable), leave letters, anything that shows intent to return.

Thank you for your detailed support,
I can write that she will visit more than 6 months but the matter of fact is that i dont have that much funds to support her 6 months stay , tahts the only reason i am inviting her for only 2 weeks

If you have any suggestion regarding this then please share it as well.

So the question is do you meet LICO? Available funds are less of a concern.
Again, once you have the SV, the duration she stays is irrelevant. The objective is to get the SV.
