I wanted to ask if anyone here has gone through a similar situation with IRCC.

• I applied for my study permit in July 2025.
• On August 11, 2025, the status on my IRCC portal changed to “Final Decision - August 11: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made”.
• My wife, who applied as my accompanying spouse, received her approval and PPR letter the same day (August 11).
• However, I still haven’t received my own approval letter or passport request, even though I’m the main applicant (student).

Has anyone here experienced something like this — a delay of weeks (or more) between “Decision Made” and actually receiving the PPR/approval letter? If so, how long did it take, and is there anything else I can do besides waiting and following up through webforms?

Hey
This sound strange as being primary applicant of study permit, you should have received PPR first then accompanying spouse as of my understanding. What does agent/lawyer say about this issue? has you got your wife's passport stamped for SOWP?

I have applied last month for study permit along with SOWP for my husband. Still awaiting for update for both.

Spouses being approved before the applicant does happen sometimes. It is the easier part of the process and can always be revisited if the student eventually gets denied. Agree doesn’t make a lot of sense.
