Hi help from the experts pleas.
I submitted my asylum case on January 30 2024 and surrendered my passport in May 2024

I am wondering if anyone has insights into how long it might take for my case to be finalized

Sometimes the waiting process feels overwhelming and I just want to get an idea of whether it might take another year or two?

Processing can be anywhere from few months to over 2 years.

Initial filing to interview: 6 months to 2+ years
Post-interview decision: A few weeks to over a year
If referred to court: Court backlog could mean 2–5 years
Your interview notice (if you're in the affirmative process).
OR, if you're already in immigration court, the Master Calendar Hearing or Merits Hearing (for defensive asylum).

Completely wrong information. Please ignore. Most claimants get decision within 14-18months of referral. Also eligibility interview timeline is 1-3 months after filing claim.
