Hello,
I applied for my PR through Express Entry in June and got the invitation to apply in August and I’m currently in the process of doing so.
Today, I received an email from the Manitoba PNP inviting me to submit a full application. I had submitted an expression of interest in June as well but hadn’t heard anything until now.
I’m just wondering if I need to go ahead and also apply through the MPNP if I already have been invited through EE.
Does it add anything to the process or would I just be paying twice for the same thing.

Two things for you to consider:
1. What if your EE application gets rejected (e.g. let's say due to an issue with your documents), MPNP would add a fall back.
2. This won't increase the processing time of your EE application at all. Just will cost you a bit more in the long run, you can also withdraw your application if you get your eCoPR from EE.

You can apply to both, one won't affect the other one. I've seen many people doing this. You'll just have to pay twice. Once one is approved, withdraw the other one. EE (if approved) should be way faster than PNP.

Okay that makes sense. I’ll go ahead and apply to both since there’s no harm done.
Thank you.

Yeah I figured EE would be faster so there would be no point applying for the PNP but I guess applying for both gives double the insurance.
