yeah, I heard back within a week. He confimed status and that I should contact back in 3 months if nothing change.
MP just rechecked last week and it stands at the same status. Security in progress with third party..
Mandamus is much less effective now because of the huge backlog at the court with all the mandamus cases ended up there and IRCC not resolving them
i just checked today and it says Updated : August 30, 2025

applied July 2023 and AOR Aug-2023
Anyone else got update for July application?
Shouldn't both the background check and prohibitions be completed at the same time, as they normally are ?

Mine too July application (August 2023 AoR) BG updated on 27th and prohibitions on 29 August
I don’t recommend Mandamus, try contacting your Local MP first. I contacted my Local MP then few weeks after I got my BG complete.
