Hi, I am switching my career to education and I've been offered two positions at the same school, one for Teacher's Assistant and the other for french Teacher. together they would make 39 hours. The TA position would make 29 hours and the Teacher 10 hours. I could talk to my employer and see if we could round up the TA to 30, but in case that cannot be done could I mix my teaching hours? As well, there is a possibility that I would only be part-time (20 hours) as a teacher next semester. So I'm not sure what I should list as my primary occupation... please help. Either way, ideally I could just take the French Stream.... would this still be an issue then????? PLEASE HELPPPPPPPPPPP J'EN BESOIN DE VOTRE AIDE!

Do you have an education degree?

Hi, I only have an educational support certificate, unsure if it counts because it’s an asynchronous course I finished in a month. I did two diplomas in art here in Canada, total 6 years.

So how can you claim you are a French teacher?

a lot of boards and private schools are overlooking degrees in exchange for proficiency + experience because canada is desperate for French teachers (or at least in Ontario). That is why I've been offered this job, my question is if I can mix those hours with my Teacher's Assistant hours to count for PR.
