Hello! I applied for my parents’ visitor visa on July 1st and they completed the biometrics on July 7th. Since then, there haven’t been any updates. Anyone in the same boat?

You being in Toronto is not relevant. If they haven't head the beginning of September then they can raise a webform.
Same stage brother.
No update.
Applied on 29th June via IRCC new portal for my sister in law.
Last updated in tracker : 13th July then nothing after that.
Someone suggested me to book a return flight tickets and upload it via web form to show the intent of return.
Would that help or needed for Visitor Visa?
Any idea?

Are you able to access the tracker? Any time i try to access it, it says "We are experiencing a problem"
Yes, I can access the tracker. Just delete all the previous historys and try closing all the tabs once and then relogin. Should work.
I don't think so. i have attached return tickets as well, i guess with new ircc rules, processing times going to be high. IRCC officer cannot give generic rejection letter anymore, Now they have to specify the actual reason for rejecting the visa. I believe that's what causing more delays now
My wife is coming to Canada next week on a visitor visa, her PR application is in process (eligibility completed - received pre arrival and waiting for the background check to be completed). does she needs to show a return flight ticket when she enters canada at the immigration ?
