Cancellation of Copr after getting stamped passport and COPR

Hello, i received a message in my gc key account stating “
The Confirmation of Permanent Residence documents and Visa Counterfoil currently in your
possession have been cancelled. Your application has been re-opened and therefore your CoPRs
are not valid for travel”. However, this was received on the same day in the evening when i got my dispatch msg for stamped passport. Now, i have the stamped passport and copr but of no use. Does anyone know what could be done about this??

Sometimes PPR/RFVs (and subsequently) CoPRs are issued in error, maybe that's the case with you. There are other possibilities, but this one is the most likely(which is also nothing to worry about)!

Yes, everything was going fine. But we went to return the counterfoil and VFS didnt accept as they dont have any guidance from IRCC. Very confusing. would you know how long they take to rectify or tell us the next steps? thanks for your response.

I applied under home support worker pilot program on February, 2024. Submitted all the documents IRCC asked for , completed my medical and biometrics. Got married in September,2024. Did inform IRCC about the change of marital status. IRCC requested documents from my spouse. Submitted everything. Spouse completed biometrics and medical.At this point i was in india. Both of us received COPR and got our visas stamped in our passports, mine git stamped from India and spouse’s from Ireland. Our Visas expires on May,2026. We landed in canada 29th September ,2025. The border security officer said that my COPR was cancelled after a month of stamping my visa which i had no information about. They said since i am the primary applicant they cannot land both of us. So they took our passports and let to the country and asked us to contact IRCC for more information. We contacted IRCC but haven’t received a reason why they cancelled the COPR. Does anyone have any idea what happened or what can we do next? Please let us know

You can also call IRCC and get the info. Search for their generic number and you will be able to call them on a weekday.

No one can comment on your CoPR's cancellation as most have other issues like "CoPR issued by mistake", "fake documentation detected", etc.

Call them and ask for info. You can also request GCMS/CBSA notes in addition. But, I assume IRCC will inform you faster.

By any chance you do you have a consultant managing your application?
