I was in the process of gathering all required documents to apply to AIP, only thing left was to make a settlement plan through YMCA to apply to AIP through my employer. PGWP expired 01 Aug 2025, realized my permit was expired on Aug 5th and stopped working. I am trying to get things in order to leave Canada before the 90 day grace period ends. I have the following questions.

After my permit expiry date i worked 2 night shifts (Aug 1st and 2nd) 12 hours each, and an 8 hour day shift on Aug 5th. On Aug 5th I realized part way through my shift that my permit had expired 4 days ago and I immediately left work after I made HR aware of the situation. Is this something that will affect my applications in the future?

Can I still proceed with making a settlement plan and apply with my job offer i had before my permit expired? or do i need my employer to give me a new job offer?

Can I apply to AIP from inside Canada and then leave the country?

Is there anything you recommend I apply for or do specifically BEFORE leaving Canada ?

Thanks in advance

There is no 90 day grace period. You are in Canada without status until you leave. Wait until you are outside of Canada to apply so that you avoid applying without status.

The fact you briefly worked without authorization should not impact your application.
