If you’re between 14 and 79 years old, you need to give your fingerprints and photo for all permanent residence applications, even if you already gave us your biometrics and they’re still valid. This includes:

Hi, i have couple of questions

1. Parents marriage certificate - My parents dont have a one. We have got affidavit and additional supporting docs like passport and aadhar card. Does it suffice?

2. Birth certificate for sponsor - Myself being sponsor, i cant locate mine. Getting a one again seems taking time and not sure how it will go. Can we provide other supporting docs in place of BC?

Pls let me know if anyone had similar encounters and how you managed to proceed or your experience? what type of docs you provided and how you handled in the letter of explanation.

Thank you

As I recall, when I submitted my application, there were no alternatives for those two documents.

Hello everyone, I am new to this site and have a quick question. There are 4 members in my family (myself, spouse and 2 kids). Does it mean that I need to meet $70,972 income (4 people) or $90,784 (6 people -myself, spouse, 2 kids, mother and father) for 2024 ? and I hope that it's a Gross income ?

its gross income. also, if you do not have enough income, you should add your spouse as a co-signer.

Biometric are valid for 10 years . If its given within that range , no need to provide new one. You can find the validity here https://ircc.canada.ca/english/visit/biometrics.asp
Finally got the invitation. If you have a valid biometric, do you still need to provide a new one?
Hey @mandolin , It seems like when you are applying for any permanent residence visa , you have to submit your biometric again even if yours are valid and with in ten years. Here is the correct and relevent info https://ircc.canada.ca/english/visit/biometrics.asp

I have few questions regarding the PGP application.

  1. Is its one account i.e of principal applicant's where all the application forms and documents are submitted correct ?
  2. We dont have mother's (principal applicant's ) birth certificate ? What should we write in the letter of explanation ?
  3. The form ask the Identity card expiry date , where mother's identify card expiry says life time .

Any insight on these would be appreciated.
    Thanks

Double check each of the document listed. And make sure that if the document is required for the sponsor or the applicants.

They'll ask for one if they need it. Dont overthink, just work on your application for now and make sure that its complete and include everything they're asking for. Biometrics is further away at this stage
