Any group for the people who got the invitation. i do have few questions on the application process.

Hi All - It has been 5 years since i have submitted interest to sponsor form in 2020. Every year, i wait to see for the selection process. My parents are now 70+. No luck in getting invitations this time too. I am getting disappointed every time. Is there any parents age factor in selection process or its pure lottery?

I am still waiting. I wanted to apply since 2018. Here I am in 2025 with minimal hope.

You and hundreds of others want to sponsor their parents. The reality is that parent sponsorship was never guaranteed and people need to be planning for care for their parents in their home country. If you get lucky you may eventually get PGP but it will be very difficult to get selected and with the state of healthcare the quotas are likely to remain very low.

The chance of being picked is not affect by their age. But as they age, the chance of passing medical exams may lower if their health decline.

Good luck for your parents this round. They are still sending invites.

So I believe there is still hope for others waiting for it.

*My mom dad got invitation few years ago as my brother did apply for PGP as well and i got invitation yesterday... i wish it could hv sent to someone else but good luck everyone and CIC usually update on twitter on Aug 8 like in noon (last day) that invitation has been sent and i am following this from since 2020 so still two more days to go*
