I just received an invitation to apply for my parents. The primary applicant has 26 years of military service and has been retired from the army for 29 years, including 18 years of civilian work experience since retirement. I would greatly appreciate any guidance or insights from individuals with a similar military background who have gone through this process. How long did the entire process take for you? I want to ensure I complete the application correctly and without delays.

Partially depends on what military. Very big difference if from a NATO country for example vs China, Iran, etc. Role in military also a large factor.

Yes be honest. Where someone did their military service and their role has a major impact on processing time and concern level. Unless you compare to someone who has served in the same military in a similar position it is tough to compare to other cases. If an ally country then there is much less concern and likely to have minimal impact on processing.
