Spoke with an IRCC Agent today regarding my application and it’s still in process as BG is not fully completed yet. And the main office in charge my application is Vancouver. I’m just going to sit back and wait as Vancouver office is known for taking their time I might call for another update in another 2-3 months.

you do right. I mistakenly thought my wife's application would be a breeze as she is exempt from language and citizen test but I was wrong...again. It'll take as long as it takes, just hope it doesn't suddenly come to life when we're heading out of Canada for 3 months at the end of December

Has anyone else been waiting for over a month for the oath ceremony since everything else turned green?

Oath ceremony: August 20

How long does it typically take to receive the letter with details of the ceremony? I have a trip booked for August 20 (of course lol).
Hoping I don’t have to reschedule since I will land at my destination 7AM local time.

Yes, even I am waiting since 24-June. Everything turned green on 24th June and waiting for oath since then. Family application from Oakville, ON. I called IRCC last week and they confirmed that only oath is pending for us and we have to wait.

First of all congrats! But silly question here, how do you plan to take that trip on august 20 if your oath is in the same day. If I am not mistaken on the ceremony day, you have to destroy your PR. So until you get your passport, there would be a blackout period of a couple of weeks (citizenship certificate plus passport application) where you cannot really travel outside canada. Thoughtts?

Hey! It’s a trip within Canada, just visiting another province. I can travel with my DL or home country passport

Congratulations! When people in this forum talk about the letter that will have the details on the oath ceremony - is it a physical letter in that comes in the post, or an email ?

Got ghost updates on 29th July 2025 for me and spouse. But no status change on tracker. LPP remain in progress. Only test and BG check complete. Does anyone have similar experience?
