What is the program that lets you be there by August 25. Not counted towards PGWP without study permit.

I was told by my department that I don't really need to be there by July. Only by August 25

So is it Summer or Fall semester you need to be there by. Not sure why you would start classes without a permit.

But on my application it says that they are reviewing eligibility and etc, does that mean that there's a final decision coming soon?

Yes, depending on if background is completed too.

Hi everyone,

I applied for a study permit from Uganda on May 5, submitted my biometrics on May 7, and the biometrics were updated on the portal by May 12.

At the time I applied, the stated processing time was 4 weeks, but it has now been 7 weeks since I submitted my application, and there’s still no update.

I’ve already raised a webform inquiry, but so far… NOTHING.

Has anyone else faced similar delays? How long did it take for you to get a response or decision?

Hi Leo have you received updates yet? I also applied from Uganda on May 13th, Biometrics received on May 15th. No other update since then and today is 1st August. My course starts August 29th.

You should speak to your school about the possibility of deferring.
