We had ceremony yesterday and sent the signed oaths. Though we did not receive certificate download instructions email, I know that many people receive it before the ceremony. Is there anyone who received certificate email after the ceremony? How long does it take? Thanks

Hi, you don’t need to wait for the email. You can download it from your ircc portal( not the citizenship tracker). I just downloaded mine. I had an oath this morning.

Most get it before but it does happen that some get it after the ceremony (I have no idea why). Given it's Thursday I'd just give it until Monday.

Got fingerprint request on June 11. BG and everything still showing in progress. Called IRCC and they said they received the fingerprints and the background check is complete, however it’s not updated on the tracker. They said rest of the stuff is not started yet even though it shows in progress on the tracker. I have a trip coming in September so a little worried what to do with that.

Good thing is, BG is complete. You shouldn’t be worried about something you have no control over. All you can do is get on with your life and hope for the best

Ceremony was online yesterday, Jul 29 (hosted in Scarborough even though I am in Montreal). I did not receive certificate download instructions before the event.

I sent oath affirmation form after the ceremony yesterday. Earlier today, I received the instructions to download the certificate. I signed up and, to my surprise, I was able to download the certificate right away. I was expected it to take a few more days as they say it takes 2-5 business days after they received the signed oath affirmation form. I would say you should wait at least until after 5 business days to contact them. Good luck!

I think the info on the email that refers to 2-3 business days is that you (apparently) need to wait a few days after the ceremony before using the certificate to apply for a passport.

Of course it might be that there is more than one period to wait after and we're not referring to the same thing.

Hi,I don’t think they send acknowledgment email but i downloaded my certificate from ircc portal, i also got email from ircc on how to download certificate this morning.

Spoke with an IRCC Agent today regarding my application and it’s still in process as BG is not fully completed yet. And the main office in charge my application is Vancouver. I’m just going to sit back and wait as Vancouver office is known for taking their time I might call for another update in another 2-3 months.

I am on the same boat. Talked to a nice agent two days ago and she mentioned exactly same statement! Vancouver office and criminality done waiting for security! I'd be grateful if you could keep me posted when you get yours!
