Yes, that is Portal 1 email.Hi
Just got an email requesting for some basic information like name, address, date of entry to canada etc to create the COPR. Is that the P1?
Oh. Great. Thanks.Yes, that is Portal 1 email.
When did you get P1 email? Do you have a valid work permit other or are you on maintained status waiting for BOWP?Not sure if anyone knows the answer to this. I applied for my BOWP before I got an ETA for PR. I am at the P1 stage now for PR and I also just a letter to pay for my BOWP. Are they linked? Do I need to proceed with the BOWP? There's a part in the letter that says if you want to stop your application to give a detailed reason why. Can I reply saying my PR is almost complete?
Please advise. Thanks.
P1 email a few days ago... currently on maintained status waiting BOWP. Thank you for your response. Just scared to cancel. When did you get P1 email? Do you have a valid work permit other or are you on maintained status waiting for BOWP?
From P1 to eCOPR (which is when you officially become a PR) you may wait 2+ months. If you're on maintained status, you run at the risk of loosing status, which may affect your PR application. I would just play it safe and pay the BOWP.
If you still have a valid work permit that's still valid for 2+ months, then you should be safe cancelling the BOWP application.
Thats what im considering... its less than 300$If I were in your situation, I would just pay for the BOWP to be on the safe side.
