refugee with disability

hello i am here to share with you my story . just wishing those who make prejudices dont read me otherwise i block them

i came to canada 5 years ago applied for refugee and turned permanent resident
actually i fled a war torn country and applied on political grounds.
my concern here is that my illness didnt improve i continue to suffer despite my medication .
my specialist told me to stop struggling with finding jobs because i always wanted to work and he advised me that it can affect me physically and mentally.
he keeps repeating that i cant recover and i will end in streets for lack of resources or just make my case worse

he recommanded me to apply for Odsp as i live in Toronto . it saddens me as i want to contribute to society that welcomed me and offered me refuge
now i am wonder if i am an odsp recipient woukd that affect my status perhaps they see me as a burn on the society especially that it is a lifetime mental disability and revoke my residency

please help i am hopeless and desperate at this point

Good morning. you mean as a pr i cannot be considered a burden to society ? no risk for revocation?
the feeling of depending on help of government is killing me and it is not gonna go away well at least the government doesnt see it the same as i do

You don't need a lawyer. You are PR and it cannot be taken away from you if you go on disability.

one year ago and before that i was a full time student hence i didnt work in order to pay taxes and contribute to economy . after i got degree my health worsens and cant work due to mental illness . odsp would not let government think i abuse system hopefully
