Hey everyone, I am doing an inland spousal sponsorship with my Canadian citizen partner. I was here on work visa but as of 17th of July, I am out of status so I am filling out imm5708, some questions I am unsure how to respond.

What is the purpose of my visit? Do I say other and say I am here with my partner and applying for PR or visit?
How long do I intend to stay - I am applying to pr and intend to stay, do I express this?
Have you remained beyond the validity of your status? Am I technically right now? I am still within 90 days of restoration.

Thank you!!

Because you mention that your are being sponsored by your Canadian partner, do you have solid evidence of meeting the Common-Law requirement for sponsorship?

1. Tell IRCC that you are restoring your status to be able to apply for Inland sponsorship, even though legal status is not a requirement for that particular sponsorship application.

2. Ask for a year, citing the aforementioned.

3. Yes, you have remained beyond the validity of your status, BUT...IRCC is well aware that a person in your position has 90 days to [apply to] restore their status.
