I am curious if any one got biometric letter and how did you upload the document in vfs global India
I never uploaded anything related to the biometric letter — it was automatically uploaded and updated on the portal. In my parents’ case, their portal was updated within 10 minutes after their fingerprints were collected, even though they are not in Canada.
I’m not from India, so the process might be different there.

I received a pre-arrival letter in June. but nothing after that. The pre-arrival letters are sent to all applicants ? My parents are already in Canada so was wondering if they send pre-arrival letters to everyone or applicants outside Canada.
pre-arrival letters are send to people inside and/or outside of Canada. But some never get it and some get it at a really early stage.
It's not an indicator of the application status.

Thanks! But how did you know there is an update on the portal for final decision? I assume that means I’ll need to check the portal regularly for updates
I got letter to submit Police Certificates And Passports copies
Police Certificate: The principal applicant and their dependant family member (if applicable) must provide police certificates from:
Their current country of residence if they have resided there for 6 months or more, and
The country where they have spent most of their adult life since the age of 18 (if different than current country of residence).
I am residing in Canada for last 2 years do I need to provide certificate from Canada also
Passport/Travel Document: If the principal applicant and/or their accompanying dependent family member (if applicable) have passports that have expired or will expire within the next 12 months, please have them apply for and submit a copy of their new passport with a validity of 12 months or more. Please ensure to include the biographic page of the passport.
AS I HAD ALREADY APPLIDE FOR REFUGEE BEFORE THIS APPLICATION AND MY PASSPORTS ARE ALREADY WITH IRCC OFFICE AND MY PASSPORT WILL EXPIRE IN JAN 2025 AND NOW THEY HAD ASKED FOR VALID PASSPORT FOR MIN 12 MONTHS CAN I GET NEW PASPORT WITH INFORMING
IRCC AND SUMBMIT NEW PASSPORT COPY AND THEN SUBMIT MY NEW PASSPORT TO IRCC ALSO
if some one faced same issue please can they reply what they have done
