We are on the same boat. same from China. just got second round of MER last weekend..
Thank you very much for your information.

Did your parents have several years of military (conscript) or government experience many years ago?

Were in security screening?

Is your case in Mississauga office?

Are there any 2022 applicants still waiting and their parents have several years of conscript in China or other countries?

My parents completed their landing as PRs last year at Toronto Pearson Airport. They had all the required forms prepared, including the "Accompanying Goods" and "Goods to Follow" lists, along with pictures of their jewelry. However, unlike our experience 13 years ago, no officer asked them for these documents.

When we landed, we were directed to a separate counter after submitting our COPR, where an officer specifically collected these forms. In my parents' case, they were only asked for their COPR and their destination address by the CBSA officer at the main immigration counter. Since no one asked for the goods declaration forms and they weren’t directed elsewhere, they were unsure whom to give the documents to and ended up leaving without submitting them.

They’re planning to return to Canada again this year. Can they present the same completed forms now, explaining that during their initial landing, no one requested them and they were unaware of where to submit them? Or should they fill new forms?

Good to see you again!

I am still waiting.

What link do you guys use for the Portal? I tried using this link https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/security.do?lang=en
and it says: We were not able to identify you using the information you provided

However when I call it says, Background check is in process.
Is there another portal to check for PGP application status?
Application submitted Nov 2022.
Medical done in April 2025.

You may use GCkey account and the link is in the following

Can you share your timeline? What is your processing office?

Processing office was Vancouver, but now it appears the office is changed to Mississauga.
Application submitted Nov 2022.
PCC Submitted March 2025
Medical done in April 2025.
Background check in progress.

The link you gave doesn't appear to be working.
Thank you for your information.
You may search GCKey account, try to create a account and then link to your application. There are lots of information in the internet related to GCKey account.
My last question is: did your parents have military or government experience? When did the background check start?

Ok I was able to link it now. For some reason number of family members needed to be 3 instead of 2. Thanks for your help.

It says, You passed medical exam on April 10 2025. Does this mean this is for both principal applicant and dependent (my mother) or principal applicant only? Can someone confirm.

No they did not have military or government experience.
Background check has been ongoing even before medical.

In Mississauga office, for 2022 applicants, medical requests were sent around July 2023 and most medical tests were done around that time. After that, background check was started.
