This seems to be quite a prevalent scam going on at the moment. Consultants/lawyers are lining up jobs that don’t exist knowing they can try to apply for a VOWP. If an employer doesn’t respond to a future employee most would question if there was an actual job and wouldn’t move to another country.
Yes, it's very bad. And this immigration consultancy firm Green Light Canada is scamming alot. I currently know 2 other people facing similar issues with them. And 6 more people who have requested for their refunds but are not willing to pay them. Its troubling to see licensed consultants in this fraudulent act. I've report to Service Canada and CICC but their process is kinda slow
Still waiting for my result and i already contacted the IRCC and i was told that Background check has been completed .. hoping to get the response soon. Also contacted local MP 2 weeks ago and i havent heard anything yet too
Many are applying for VOWP at the same time to try to extend their status in Canada so processing time is slow. iRCC must also do their due diligence to verify this is a situation that warrants a VOWP because many are applying who don’t qualify. Processing times are often goals not the reality.

I came here as a TFW-closed work permit. Since I don't have that much money to hire a consultant, I applied sole in IRCC a VOWP. My employer is not paying me overtime and wanting me to do errands for him on my rest days with no pay. He is also joking about having me as his 2nd wife which is making me uncomfortable. I fear my safety as a woman which develops stress and anxiety.
I filed only with my statement and evidences. I failed to upload my contract of employment. Can I still upload them and wait for their message if they need some documents?
I've only worked for him 4months cause I can't bear the scrutiny after declining his request for me to do errands in his apartment. My mental being has been affected to much. In this regard, Can I apply for EI?

If you leave your job voluntarily, then you won't qualify for EI.
If you are fired, then you may qualify for EI if you meet EI requirements. Specfically, you need to have worked between 420 and 700 insurable hours to quaify. You can see furher details here: https://www.canada.ca/en/services/benefits/ei/ei-regular-benefit/eligibility.html#h2.01
The answer is “maybe.” you may be eligible for Employment Insurance (EI) benefits if you quit your job under certain circumstances. Generally, if you voluntarily quit your job without just cause, you may not be eligible for EI benefits.
However, there are exceptions where you could still be considered eligible, such as if you quit due to health reasons or if your work conditions became unsafe or unbearable. These are known as “just cause.”

Evidences of abuse is really important and aside from your testimony and some evidences, it will be worth your time to go to RCMP and upload a written report that you submitted to RCMP since you experience sexual abuse as well. That will make your case strong and liable. Also upload employment standards written report too.
Act fast, and do these things quickly since they sometimes have only a few days to check your application and if its incomplete, they might refuse it.
Submit these documents through webform because they may not make the effort to ask you for these documents
Mannn. Thats way too much dont put her in that situation sexual abuse charges goes long way on both side thats civil charges. Fill a complaint through labor court and immigration plus an affidavit will do the job.
