THE PA can apply for OHIP once they get an AIP letter (eligibility stage). Not all ServiceOntario know about this, Go to the big big one.

You can apply for OHIP after you received AIP not AOR.

Hello everyone, please help. My spouse passport is under applied status and his wp is getting expired soon. Is there any way to apply PCC from local police station. Can we submit his application without it. What alternatives could be? Also he got email to CBSA as soon as he received passport he have to give that to them or report or whatever. We are stuck any help would be appreciated.

Hi, we received AOR today and planning to apply for Open work permit. I believe you can work with AOR of open work permit but do you know if we can apply for OHIP with AOR Of open work permit?

I believe you need the actual approved work permit and a job that will be for 6 months or longer (contract or permanent ) or wait for AIP of the PR application.
If she has a permanent job and was on a work permit that hasn't expired yet, then she will be on maintain status as a worker.
Check with OHIP.
