Hello,


I applied for a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) on 21st May 2025 from Dubai. The current processing time shows 37 days, and I’ve been checking my application status daily. However, there has been no visible progress — the background check is still in process, and eligibility review has not yet started.


As I have visited Canada within the last ten years, my application should fall under CAN+ processing.


Could anyone please advise whether I should contact IRCC or simply wait for the decision?

Why contact as you only applied just over a month ago. Processing times are estimates and can take much longer. IRCC decides whether they will process your application as CAN+. Wait another month.

I applied for my mom, 18 June and biometric completed 23 May. Still no response.

Yes, I think you are right. Cause for my father in law, it took like 5 days for approval after biometric completed. Anyways, hoping for a positive response, however, long it takes.

There has been no response and no update on the application. I have no idea why it is taking so long

I got my PPR yesterday. Hopefully you will get it soon. Btw, for passport submission in VFS-Dubai, who we have to book appointment or is it walk in?

congratulations, I think you need to take appointment on VFS website for passport submission please call them and confirm. My application still background check in process.
