Canada does not print address in the passport. If there is space in the passport for the holder to write their address in by hand, you can write whatever address you like - but it has no legal meaning and may not be good from a privacy perspective.

Yes. It's possible. I just renewed it and I retained India address in my passport.

Thanks a ton for replying and helping out. Just another question, If I am here, how will the police do the verification? Do they require any letter or any other document from my side?
