It's never advisable to put reconsideration request if your application has been returned incomplete . Better to submit new application asap .
It would be really nice if they review in one month on return application, but in reality they take 6 months now. There are some evidence I can show you if we talk to them they are willing to help so no one have to stand in line for 6 months. July applicant link is below they commented (READ REMARK SECTION) on the JULY excel sheet.

LINK: PNP NON EE - July 2024 PR Application - Google Drive

Read REMARK section on rows : 254, 323, 431, 431 and many more applicant have resolve this issue by calling IRCC and they save their file.

Thanks.

Actually, I already received an invite under Express Entry in January 2025, but I didn't submit the application thinking that whatever triggered non-routine check under Non EE will be triggered under Express Entry as well. So thought it would be pointless paying for another application.
Hey, go ahead and apply for EE right away! You can always earn an extra $1,500, but no amount of money can ever buy you more time.

Here is my timeline for PR application nonexpress - PNP Alberta
Sep 01 2024- Applied
Feb 18 2025 - Application Returned (Birth certificate rejected - requested Senior Secondary certificate)

Question: Would it mean that when I resubmit the application, it will be treated as a new application and go back to the queue? aka a five-month wait for AOR?
@Ramankaur26

We’ve been waiting 21 months for our PR approval, and my wife—the main applicant—is on a closed work permit based on an LMIA. Her employer now wants to promote her to a managerial position that falls under a different NOC. What options do we have given that her permit is closed to her current occupation?

No need to panic you did the right thing by not including your Canadian citizen child on IMM0008. Here's s a breakdown to clarify things:

1. IMM0008 (Generic Application Form for Canada Who to include: Only non-Canadian family members who are applying for permanent residence (spouse, common-law partner, and dependent children).
Exclusion: Canadian citizens and permanent residents are not listed here because they do not need to be sponsored or included as dependents.
You were correct to only include your spouse and non-citizen child on IMM0008. Your Canadian citizen child does not go on this form as a non-accompanying dependent.

2. IMM5406 (Additional Family Information Form)
Who to include: All immediate family members (spouse, children, parents, siblings) regardless of their citizenship or immigration status.
You did the right thing by including both children on this form, even though one is a Canadian citizen.

Why was someone else's application rejected?

Their rejection was likely due to not listing all family members on IMM5406, which is required. Since you included both children on IMM5406, this does not apply to you.

Should you send a Webform to explain?
In your case, you do not need to send a Webform because you followed IRCC guidelines correctly:
You left your Canadian citizen child off IMM0008 (correct).

You included all family members (including your Canadian child) on IMM5406 (correct).

IRCC understands that Canadian citizens are excluded from IMM0008 and won't penalize you for following the rules.

Hi, @Miss bee
Ohhhhh… I included my canadian child in IMM0008 Am I likely to reject my application? What Should I do..?!

If you included it won't be any issue. They won't reject your application.

Thank you very much, also your rapid response! Could I please ask one more question? my child is a dual citizen, which is canada and my country. And do I had to submit the birth certifications of two each countries? I just submitted canadian one.

Hey @Miss bee ,

Hope you are doing well. I am writing on behalf of my friend. He is a CEC applicant, submitted file on Nov 8, 2024. As of now his application is under background check. He went to India for 2 month(mid DEC-mid FEB), got married in JAN 2024 and his wife is PR.
My question is while his application is under process, his application will affect since he has to update marital status.
If he update profile CRS score will change, does this cause any problem to his application?

Please clear my doubts. Highly appreciate.

Thank you

For your child documents, submitting the Canadian birth certificate is usually sufficient, especially if it clearly establishes their identity and parentage. However, some immigration programs may request all available birth records, including those from the other country of citizenship.
If IRCC hasn't t asked for the second birth certificate, you likely don't t need to submit it. But if you want to be proactive, you can send it via a web form, explaining that your child holds dual citizenship and attaching the second birth certificate.

Hi, miss bee, I have inquiry regarding my birth certificate. I have applied in master's stream in non express entry for my PR. I have different name in my birth certificate and for that I attached affidavit with my PR file. But it is 2 year old and I recently came to know that affidavite is only valid for 6 months. I was in india recently so I applied to change my name in birth certificate, which is still in process and not sure if they will change it or not. So, I also got new affidavit before coming back to canada in case they do not provide me new birth certificate with my current name. This process may take couple of weeks.

So, what should I do in this situation?

if i do not get new birth certificate should i raise webform and submit affidavite before or after receiving AOR?

And as i mentioned above i have been to india after I submitted my PR file. So. In this case, do I need to provide PCC or any other document through webform?

@sss0023 hey could you help un something. What type of affidavit you made? Kne and same person affidavit? And if yes, did you notarized it and upload it? Did you anything else other than this?

My current work permit is already until end of current passport so I think I need new passport. Can I apply and just wait for them to ask me for my passport and then extend ?

I just want to play safe as my non express entry PR application is going on and haven’t received AOR yet and my work permit expires in May 2026 so just want to be safe while I have the chance
@Miss bee appreacite it if you may respond to this when u get a chance

Hello @Miss bee

hope you are doing well.

I submitted two webforms with the same information. First webforms was with UCI and second with UCI and TFN. I got Acknowledgement of TFN webform first before I got for the one I sent with only UCI. Now I am worried that they attached the information twice - I had added IMM5669 and explanation letter and address list correction.

what should I do or is it okay ?
@Miss bee also if you could respond to this when u get a chance. Thank you
