Hi,
I applied for my EE cec PR and in the middle of it I met a girl. We got along well, we love each other very much and I decided to marry her.
Just a few days before I received my eCopr we got married. I informed the IRCC about my marital change and want to add her as a dependent to my application. Coincidentally, her PGWP got rejected right before I proposed to her. Will IRCC think it is a marriage fraud and decline our PR application? We indeed truly love her and so many great memories together. I really want to help my wife.

Provided you have evidence of your relationship and didn't marry too quickly, you should be fine.

I assume she has restored her status and currently has valid status in Canada?

Hi,
Thanks for the info. We’ve dated for a year and half. And we traveled to many places together. We lived together half a year. Just everything happened at the same time, our marriage and her wp refusal, afraid officer thinking it is marriage of convenience, marriage fraud.
Currently, she submitted the web form for her PGWP reconsideration and meanwhile, she also applied for a study permit for her CPA course. The study permit is under process.

If you've dated for a year and a half, then I don't see an issue in terms of your relationship being accepted. However I don't believe PR can be finalized while she is out of status in Canada.

Did she apply to restore her status together with the study permit?

Hi scylla,
Thanks so much for the quick response! On her work permit refusal letter, it said she can legally stay in Canada until the decision of study permit is received. Therefore, we decided to restore her status when she receive the study permit decision from IRCC. I really appreciate your input on our situation!

Is she currently studying right now?

Do not use the eCOPR that you received and do not order a PR card.
