Hi,
My wife is doing her PR renewal and we come across the section to list all trips outside of Canada and we run into two issues.
Background: She is a US commuter and works in Michigan.

- We did not keep a track of daily trips to the US because she's it is less than 24 hrs and does not count against her residency obligation
- She can't even enter daily trips as the form does not allow to and from dates to be the same.

For those that have applied and did not include all trips was that fine ? did you have to write a letter to explain.

Thanks

Even paper form don't allow? That's not the case previously.

I would think not. ALL exits from Canada and subsequent entries must be disclosed.

You should contact IRCC to find out how to handle this, since it appears to be [yet another] glitch.

She can apply to US customs for entry info and if she returned to Canada every day, she should be able to reconstruct.

I believe CBSA has something similar for entries but I don't know much about that.

If you can't enter this on the form, type it all up in a table in Excel or whatever, include that, and a letter of explanation that you did not track but these are all we can account for.

The issue will come up if she did not return to Canada EVERY DAY before midnight. Or if the files and dates don't correspond.

Note, also, you do need to make sure that she's over the 730 minimum number of days, etc.
