Hello everyone,

Years ago, when I was young and stupid, I met this girl in a 3rd country, both of us were immigrants in that 3rd country and we got married there,
The marriage wasn't registered in my country or in hers, it was only registered in that 3rd country.
Then we broke up, years gone by, and I immigrated to Canada as a permanent resident, I filled the documents as single, I already lost the marriage documents in that country, and lost all contact with that girl.
Now I'm not planning to sponsor her, I don't even know where she is,
Am I in trouble for misrepresentation?

Thank you

Technically this is misrepresentation. However it's likely not going to be a problem at this point unless you try to sponsor another spouse or partner in the future.
