Application for work permit under special measures for Iranians

Hi, I am a student right now and I just finished my course. My PGWP would have been one year as my studies were one year. However, since there is a special measure for Iranian citizens, I applied for a work permit under that as they usually give a 3 year work permit.

i just submitted the application. Am I allowed to work full-time while I wait for a decision like how I would be able to with a PGWP?

I don't believe you can. You have maintained status as a student but this does not allow you to work full time.

I think you have to wait until the work permit is approved.

That’s what I fear as well. It could take a month for my application to get approved which is scary. However, I wonder, does this apply here?
