PGWP and SOWP EXTENSION Together

Hi,

My wife has just completed her education and she is eligible for PGWP now.

I am also in canada and having my sowp has valid visa till april 2025.

So I seek yours advice. Should I apply sowp extension along with my wife PGWP or should I wait for her PGWP approval and then apply for my sowp extension

Please advice experts.

We made a mistake by applying PGWP of my husband and SOWP extension for me and I got refusal because he didn’t have teer job. It depends on the job of the PGWP person.

me and my husband applied separately, i have TEER 2 job but still our application got rejected. Because my PGWP was on implied status when i applied for my husband's SOWP. It depends on profile to profile. BUT if applying together, should submit Spouse's NOC code job letter and paystubs.

This one they did not mention if its for all old sowp extension that will be filed after the 1st Nov,2024 as well or its just for the new sowp application.

sorry to hear that. did you guys applied for the status restoration yet? correct me if i am wrong in this time he or she cant not work as well right after the extension rejection.

even when i will apply for my sowp extension in march end,2025. my wife who is the main applicant will also be in the implied status as, she will applying for pgwp in the month of Jan,2025 as soon as her last sem is ending ondec,2024. They did not mention anything specifically so as of now you dont have to worry.

what do you mean about implied status? Your PGWP Not yet approved?

Yes. But i updated them once my PGWP is approved. And again when i got a job

Make sure to submit her full time letter and paystubs. One of my friends, she was working part time no NOC code job. Applied together. They submitted full time letter and paystub at the time of application itself. Their application got approved.
