Hello everyone, hope someone could help me with my concern.
When I was applying, I declared single as during those time I am not into any relationship.
While waiting for my papers to be approved, I entered into a relationship that lead to marriage few days before my flight to Canada. Now I would like to update my marital status. I am only here in Canada for about 1 month. Would it lead me to any possible problem in the future? Thank you in advance

Are you already in Canada now and have landed and become a PR? If so, this was a big error. It was mandatory to add your spouse your application before landing. You cannot do it now and will never be able to sponsor your spouse.

Hopefully you have not yet traveled to Canada and are asking a question about something that will happen in the future.

Yes, I am already here in Canada but not yet PR

Ok. That is very good news. You must notify IRCC immediately that you are now married and take that steps to add your spouse to your application. This will delay the issuance of your PR visa by somewhere around 3-5 months. Please notify IRCC as soon as you can. If you have further questions, post them to the Express Entry section of the forum. This topic is discussed there extensively.

Thats great. I just need to make my CRA account and update it right?

No.

Your need to notify IRCC and then submit all of the forms to add your spouse to your existing PR application. Your spouse will also need to complete the medical and provide PCCs. Again, move to the Express Entry section of the forum and look for discussions there. This topic is covered there extensively.
