If you want to claim asylum in Canada directly, you would need to obtain a TRV (tourist visa), fly to Canada, and then claim asylum once you arrive here.
This may be much more challenging tHan you think. You will have to show strong ties to your home country, enough savings to cover travel without using a large portion of your savings, proof that you will return home, international travel history, etc. You would also have to show that there was no safe areas of your home country where you could live.
