Hey! Can anyone tell me what all documents need to be self attested apart from the passport copy?

Also, I have question my wife is applying for Passport renewal and when we married she didn't changed her address in Addhar or any other India doc to my address, so when we are providing Indian address, what address we should give my and her own home address in India.

if you are a PR holder, address in India will be primarily used for police verification.
If any of her family still lives in address in the expiring passport you can provide the same or any address for which your wife can provide address proof and have family living for police verification

What exactly happens in police verification at indian address? what all documents do they ask for at indian address?

My passport has been granted on pre police verification basis with PV initiated. Can anyone please share experience about what happens at Indian address during police verification. PS. I am PR and address on passport will be Canadian address.

Application submitted on 4th at bls walk-in
since 14th march my passport renewal status says (application is under review at indian embassy/consulate). What should i do wait or is there any issues with my application .. can anyo Pls help??

No issues , recently we did a walk in Mississauga location . Received email regarding police verification by end of 3rd week and passport around end of 5th week.

Earlier is better , your Visa in older passport will be still valid and so is the WP.

Hi All,

I submitted my passport for renewal, it reached on 5th Feb and police verification was initiated on 27th Feb which completed on 11th Mar'24. Still the status is showing as "Passport application is under review at Indian Embassy/Consulate". How much more time will this take ? I need to apply for my Work permit by the end of April'24.

Can anyone please guide me on how to contact Consulate General to know the actual status/issue with my passport.
