I recently applied for the 120 Day Permit for Researchers. During application, the question which was asked was something like "Have you travelled to any other country since 18 years of age?". I accordingly selected NO. But then in the summary document of my application, the question had changed to something like - "Have you travelled to any country in the last 5 Years?". What answer do they actually want? I am unable to understand clearly.

So you applied for a TRV. It is two different questions. You could be 30 years old and say yes to first question (travelled since age 18) and no to second (haven’t travelled anywhere in last 5 years)

Yes, I applied for a TRV. I am 20 years old. Only "since 18 years of age" question was there during the application. The last question asking about travels in the last 5 years wasn't there in the portal during my application. Did they purposely remove it since I was 18 just 2 years ago?

So answer Yes and Yes. What is the research position that must be done by you at 20?

I got a funded internship in Canada during Summer 2024 and they asked me to apply for the TRV for 120 days. But, there is only one question, the "travel history since 18 years of age". After submission of application, when they mailed me the application summary in a PDF. the question wittedn in that PDF under the TRAVEL HISTORY section had changed to "Last 5 Years".

Ok. These are the requirements which are for research positions at a research institution/college/university so assume that is your employer and that your role will add value to the project. So you have travelled within last 5 years.

Yes, I am going to a Canadian publicly funded degree-granting institution. But, I wasn't 18 when I went abroad. The question only asked me my travel history since 18.

So if you travelled outside your country say YES.
