Yes , it’s been 10 days since I applied for OWP no updates on this either .

My full timeline is in my signature. OWP-specific timeline is as follows:

OWP Submitted: Dec 10, 2023

OWP App Status Change Notification (not sure what changed): Dec 11, 2023
OWP Web Form Addt'l Docs (not requested) Submitted: Dec 12, 2023
OWP Web Form Addt'l Docs (not requested) Confirmation: Dec 15, 2023
OWP App Status Change Notification (not sure what changed): Dec 18, 2023
(Biometrics Requested for PR on Dec 20. Submitted for PR Dec 27. Marked Completed for PR & OWP on Dec 28)
OWP Web Form Addt'l Docs (not requested) Received: Dec 29, 2023

OWP Approved: Jan 23, 2024
OWP Received: Jan 29, 2024

The documents that I submitted through the web form were AOR, Marriage Certificate, OWP Payment Receipt, and Form IMM556E. I wasn't sent any communications asking for those documents, but form IMM556E is a checklist and indicates those are documents that should be submitted with the OWP application. I wanted to make sure the agents had everything.

[Edit:] Oh! And I also noticed on the envelope for my OWP that the permit's CPC was Edmonton -- thought that was worth noting for anyone interested :)
I feel I submitted OWP application in the same day as you. No update at all.

It’s been 40 days since I got AOR in spousal PR till now there is no update . But others are getting BIL and medicals
I feel every file has a different timeline as it depends on the officer who is working on the file. So relax and stay positive. All the best :)

Hi everyone,

I applied for inland spousal sponsorship on November 7, 2023. I also applied for my visitor record on November 14, 2023, as my Visitor visa expires on December 14, 2023.

I received AOR today - January 3, 2024. Now I am about to apply for my Open Work Permit where in the questionnaire I was supposed to answer "When does your status in Canada expire?". Suppose I give December 14, 2023. I have to restore my status by paying $229. I am unsure if I have to do that as I already have applied for a visitor record which is in progress and am currently in a "maintained status". What date should I give and does it matter?
I applied with a Letter of Explanation stating that I am on implied status and mentioned the date which was initially requested for extension as per the Visitor record application. Few days later I got my Visitor record and my OWP also got approved.

My case is slightly complicated. We began cohabiting in 2022, but I had my place at the time and didn't change my address on my documents. I moved in completely in 2023 and officially changed the address. We have been living together for almost two years now. In my case, do I say I entered the common-law relationship in 2023 (a year after living together) or 2024 (a year after I officially changed my address)?
