I got the same invite for Feb 1 at the SCR office. From my reading and the helpful replies of people on this forum, I'm lead to believe that this is nothing to worry about or suggestive that there's something gravely wrong with your application. It'll likely be a 10 minute conversation, they'll ask a few questions, and it's done. LPP may complete very soon afterwards- and in some rare cases, they invite you to take your oath the very same day. I'm still apprehensive because logic dictates that I must have been selected for an interview for a reason when most people don't have to, but I'm sure it'll be just fine.
I have 3 relatives who spent the same couple of years out of Canada. 2 of them got called for an in-person interview...interview and oath (10 months later) went smoothly. One did not. It's most likely by random, or a program integrity check.

They'll just check your documents (language test, passport) and verify the info you wrote in your application, and maybe ask what you are doing presently if anything changed since your application.

You wont get the e-cert the came day, can take up to 3 days after the oath ceremony. FYI there is a form you have to send back, prior to getting the e-cert email.

The citizenship journey comes to an end for me. I had a zoom virtual ceremony today. Lasted about 1.5 hours.

I asked the clerk if I could get my citizenship certificate sooner than the official processing time of upto 5 days. She asked me to submit oath form after the ceremony is over. Overall all officials were very nice and welcoming. Being declared a citizen was an emotional moment for me.

I checked for my wife's e-certificate 2 hours after the ceremony and it was available. I had issues logging into IRCC portal with my usual email ID ( they had to add a surprise at the end ).

I registered an account with IRCC portal from a different email ID and was able to download my certificate as well.

Best of luck to those waiting. It is going to happen soon.
Congratulations! Please can you explain in detail how the ceremony went such as the checking in process, questions asked, documents provided etc. Thank you!

Cannot believe Scarb office is processing Applications from September 2023 now!!!!

I feel like they have a "first in, last out" policy as well! So many applicants from 2022 (check signature for info) are still waiting for their LPP to be completed :(

This is sad....

There policy of processing newer application faster and not concentrating on completing already in-progress application has always been a weird one. Because of this the processing ETA remains high and customer care agents use that to dodge any questions you have for your application.

If they would have concentrated on processing older applications on priority the processing ETA would have been less than 6 months.

When you bring up this argument in the math department, be prepared for a symphony of laughter.
Assuming applications are processed at a fixed rate, changing priorities can only impact the variance of waiting time, not the mean.
